Multi-crop harvesters to serve farmers in emerging markets
Chandigarh, Nov 29 (UNI) CLAAS India Pvt Ltd is extending its' distribution and service network throughout India and even the SAARC nations as multi crop harvesters are the future for the farmers.
This was announced by the Company today while participating in Agro Tech 2008 here today.
After setting up its' new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Morinda in Punjab, the German combine harvester specialist is now planning to grow further in the emerging markets of India as well as in other SAARC countries.
''The kind of response we got from the farmers, who have seen the CROP TIGER machines running in the field, was really encouraging for us'', Jan-Klaus Tobias, Head-Marketing CLAAS India stated while talking to mediapersons.
Now with the two manufacturing facilities in India, CLAAS is doubling its annual capacities in the near future.
According to Mr Bhanu Sharma, Executive Vice President CLAAS India the increased production capacities coupled with latest harvesting technology will offer the opportunity to the company not only to grow and establish combine markets in India. The company has around 40 service and distribution points.
The company is currently extending its distribution network in six new states--Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar and even to Nepal.
Distribution partners have been identified and the product and service training is already under process.
''CLAAS wants to grow and we are now setting the basis for our future success in India and the surrounding SAARC countries'', Mr Bhanu Sharma added.
CLAAS is exhibiting its latest products including the new CROP TIGER 60, biggest and most powerful combine harvester in India, at AGROTECH 2008 exhibition.
