UP to face biting cold in future

Lucknow, Nov 29: With temperature hovering around 10 degrees Celsius at most places in Uttar Pradesh, Muzaffarnagar stood the coldest at eight degrees.

Weather was mainly dry in all divisions of the state, stated UP Metereological department today.

The days become misty and hazy during the morning time, but the rest of it passed under the bright sun. Westerly disturbances and high humidity level in the air have conjointly brought a change in the weather conditions.

Night temperature changed little in all divisions of the state.

Days were below normal in Gorakhpur, Kanpur and Agra divisions, appreciably above normal in Faizabad and Lucknow divisions and above normal in Bareilly and Jhansi divisions. The remaining divisions were recorded normal.

Lowest temperature in plains was recorded at 8.4 degree celsius in Muzaffarnagar.

In the last 24 hrs, Shahjahanpur and Kanpur recorded 10 degree celsius each, Lucknow and Gorakhpur 12 degree each, Varanasi 13 degree, while Bareilly stood at 14 degree.

The weatherman has, meanwhile, forecast a mainly clear sky with mist/fog likely to occur during morning/night in the next 24 hrs.
