Generic medicines stores to be opened in each district

Phagwara, Nov 29 (UNI) Punjab Health Minister Prof Lakshmi Kanta Chawla today said that generic medicines stores would be opened in all 20 districts of the state by the end of this financial year to provide medicines at cheaper rates.

Talking to newspersons here today, Prof Chawla also stressed upon the need for simplification of a law to donate human organs to save lives.

Prof Chawla stressed that better facilities and free delivery would be provided at all civil hospitals soon and urged the social organisations to come forward to save the gender balance by launching large scale compaigns against female foeticide.

Former BJP President Tejaswi Bhardwaj and Baldev Sharma Advocate were also present on the occassion.
