Capital punishment for rape, murder accused
Guna, MP, Nov 29 (UNI) A local court has awarded capital punishment to a man for rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl.
Additional Sessions Judge Navin Saxena today also ordered convict Samandar Singh to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.
According to the prosecution, the girl was raped and murdered in Guna district's Vijaypur area in February 7, 2006.
Besides Samandar Singh, a minor Giriraj Singh was also made accused. Giriraj's case was heard by the Juvenile Court at Guna which acquitted him.
