Apollo Reach Hospital achieves major milestone

Karimnagar, Nov 29 (UNI) Apollo Reach Hospitals, an initiative of Apollo Hospitals Group to reach tertiary healthcare to semi-urban and rural areas, today announced it had achieved a major medical milestone by performing advanced and complicated cardiac procedures and surgeries for the first time in the country.

The medical expertise accomplished here places Karimnagar and Telangana region on a high pedestal at par with the advanced centers of medical care.

According to a press release here, within three months of its inauguration, the 150-bedded hospital had successfully performed Open Heart Surgery with Cardiopulmonary Bypass on a 14-year-old girl suffering from congenital heart defect (Ventricular Septal Defect with pulmonary Stenosis), Placement of a Permanent Pacemaker in a 70-year-old man with Complete Heart Block, Mitral Valve Replacement on a 55-year-old woman suffering from severe Mitral Stenosis with LA clot, Angioplasty through Radial Artery and Angioplasty with Stent placement on a 38-year-old person.

These procedures were performed by highly accomplished medical team, led by Medical Superintendent Raja Sekhar Reddy, the release added.
