Vijayawada AIR to celebrate diamond jubilee from Dec 1

Vijayawada, Nov 28 (UNI) The All India Radio (AIR), Vijayawada, will celebrate its diamond jubilee from December 1.

Talking to newspersons here yesterday, AIR Station Director Mangalagiri Aditya Prasad said the celebrations would start with a coridal meet by boradcast stalwarts and well wishers of the AIR at the station premises.

AIR Director General G Jayalal would be the Chief Guest, he said, adding, about 80 retired employees would be felicitated during the occasion.

The AIR station commenced its programmes on December 1, 1948. It has more reputation among all circles of radio listeners, he said.
