Separatist-mainstream parties, Lashkar condemn Mumbai attacks
Srinagar, Nov 28 (UNI) Pakistan- based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), separatist and mainstream political parties, cutting across the party lines, today strongly condemned the terror attacks in Mumbai that left more than 100 dead and over 300 wounded since Wednesday evening.
A spokesman of the LeT, accused to have involved in the terror attacks in Mumbai, told local mediapersons here that the outfit strongly condemned the killing of innocent civilains in the attack.
''We do not have any hand in these attacks as was being alleged by some security agencies,'' he said adding that it was inhuman and barbaric act.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) spokesman in a statement here today said ''We strongly condemned the attack on civilians.'' He said JeI treats every terrorist act as anti-human and against the basic teachings of Islam.
Islam never justifies the killing of any innocent individual, he said.
The peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Congress, Communist Party of India (M), Awami National Conference (ANC) and both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference also condemned the Mumbai attacks.
