Place of worship stoned again in Udupi

Udupi, Nov 28 (UNI) An incident of stone pelting on a place of worship was occurred at Nejar near Kalyanpur in Udupi city limit damaging the window panes in the wee hours today.

The incident followed a wake of attacks on places of worship by rightist activities in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Bangalore urban district last month According to police, some miscreants pelted stone on a place of worship in the wee hours which had caused damages. This place was built only last year. People came to know the incident when the came to the centre for prayers.

Mr. Aboobakkar, the local Jamia Masjid leader has lodged the complaint with the Malpe police.

Police have visited the spot and security had been provided around the structure the police added.
