Matter of time before NSG takes over: Former NSG chief

Guwahati, Nov 28 (UNI) Former NSG chief Ranjit S Musharry today affirmed that it would be a matter of just hours now before the National Security Guards (NSG) stop the ongoing terror attacks at Mumbai.

''It is now just a matter of time before the NSG successfully concludes their operation against the terrorists,'' Mr Musharry said here on the sidelines of a seminar.

He lauded the bravery of the NSG team as well as other security personnel tackling the Mumbai situation.

''The security forces are reacting well to the situation and a very positive outcome can be expected any time now,'' he said.

Mr Musharry stressed that the delay in carrying out the operations was probably due to the fact that the number of terrorists holed up inside as well as hostages were not known.

The present Meghalaya Governor, Mr Musharry was the NSG boss when the Akshardham temple attack took place and the NSG had bravely overcome the terrorists under his command.
