Rs 1.5 lakh to Biharis killed in terror attacks
Patna, Nov 28: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday, Nov 28 announced compensation of Rs 1.50 lakh to the next of kin of each of the persons killed in the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
Appealing to the people to maintain peace and calm and remain united in the hour of crisis, Mr Kumar said his government decided to pay an ex-gratia to the families of the deceasesd.
He said Rs one lakh would be given from the state fund while the rest Rs 50,000 would be paid from the Chief Minister's relief fund.
When asked about the number of casualities of Biharis in the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, he said the number was not known right now.
The exact number would be available only after getting the details from Maharahstra government, he added.
