CJM grants police custody of Abdul Jabbar

Kannur, Nov 28: The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court, Thalasserry, on Friday Nov 28 granted police custody for interrogation of Abdul Jabbar, who was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) from Hyderabad.

Abdul Jabbar would be in police custody till December 3, the Magistrate said.

The police custody was granted following an application moved by the SIT.

Jabbar, hailing from Tirur in Malappuram district, had reportedly escaped with injuries during an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir last month.
