Circle Inspector arrested in bribery case

Patna, Nov 28 (UNI) Sleuths of Bihar State Vigilance Bureau arrested Circle Inspector, Santu Kumar Ram, when he was receiving Rs 2000 as bribe at Faridpur blcok in Jehanabad district today.

Additional Director General of the Vigilance Bureau Neelmani said the operation was launched on the basis of complaint, lodged by Ramanuj Sharma, who had alleged that Mr Sharma was demanding money to settle a land dispute.

Mr Ram was caught red handed while he was receving Rs 2000 as bribe from Mr Sharma of Mirzapur village, he said adding the arrested inspector would be produced before the special vigilance court tomorrow after thorough interrogation.
