Woman battered to death by servant

Solan, Nov 27 (UNI) A woman was allegdly battered to death by her servant at Export-Park Jhar-majri of district Solan today.

Barotiwala Police Station SHO Raguvir Singh said that the servant identified as Hira Lal who is absconding apparently killed the woman while her husband Ajit Singh was away at Chandigarh.

The victim's husband when arrived this morning he found her lying in the pool of blood with her head badly smashed with hammer. The blood-smeared hammer was also recovered from the spot. Cash and other valuables were also missing from the house, he said.

Police has registered a case against the servant and further investigating the matter.
