UP CM hikes monetary aid to families of securitymen to Rs 15 lakh

Lucknow, Nov 27 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today announced a hike of Rs five lakh in the ex-gratia to the family members of the securitymen in case they die combating terrorism in the state.

Now, the bereaved families of the securitymen would receive Rs 15 lakh as financial help against the earlier amount of Rs 10 lakh, Ms Mayawati said.

The CM made the announcement here, while condemning the ghastly terrorist attack and existing state of siege at five star-hotels in Mumbai.

Over 100 people had lost their lives in the incident, while scores have received injuries.
