Ahmedabad, Nov 27 (UNI) An officer of the Gujarat Police today said they had received inputs that the terrorists, who landed in Mumbai yesterday and launched serial attacks there, had the Mumbai Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) on the radar.

The officer, on condition of anonymity, told UNI that on the basis of reports received so far, a possiblity could not be ruled out that the ATS Mumbai was one of the main targets of the terrorists.

The attack on the ATS Mumbai team, in which several top officials including its chief Hemant Karkare, encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar and Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamte were killed, clearly indicated that the terrorists definitely had the knowledge of the identities of these officers and their ranks, the officer added.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Home Department today convened a meeting of senior police officials to review the security situation in the state in the wake of yesterday's terror attacks in Mumbai.

The meeting, headed by Minister of state for Home Amit Shah, was attended by DGP, Additional DGP, ATS chief and Ahmedabad Police Commissioner and other top officials.

During the meeting, the preparedness of the Guajrat Police was also reviewed.
