Kazakh President calls for global cooperation against terror
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev today strongly condemned the Mumbai terror attacks and stressed the need for strengthening international cooperation against terrorism.
According to the Kazakhstan embassy here, Mr Nazarbayev while sending condolences to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, denounced such ''horrendous acts'' by criminals and said international cooperation was the only way to eliminate all forms of terrorism.
''It is with profound grief that I have learned of the death of peaceful civilians due to the terrorist acts...on behalf of the nation of Kazakhstan and in my own name, I express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the people of India...I would like to stress the need for strengthening international cooperation in combating terrorism. I am convinced that only this way will we be able to eliminate all forms of terrorism,'' he said in the statement.
