Achuthanandan condoles V P Singh's death

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 27 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today condoled the death of former Prime Minister V P Singh.

In a message, Mr Achuthanandan said, Singh's death was a great loss to democratic, secular and progressive politics in the country.

He was instrumental in forming a secular and progressive government at the Centre ending Conress monopoly and had always stood against communal and fascist forces.

Mr Achuthanandan said during the tenure of Singh as Prime Minister, Kerala had got massive Central assistance for various development projects and the state would remember him for ever.
