VLCC releases book on ''Transformation Towards Wellness''

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) Malakpet MLA Malla Reddy launched VLCC's book ''Transformation towards Wellness'' on the occasion of Anti-Obesity Day today.

''Transformation Towards Wellness'' serves as a kind of 'Wellness Encyclopedia' and also contains real-life success stories as well as case studies, aimed at inspiring individuals to transit to a better lifestyle. The Wellness book was launched across VLCC Centers in India, a press release here said.

Mr Reddy said, ''It gives me immense pleasure to be present here on this important occasion, observed as Anti-Obesity Day. Like in other parts of the world, in India too the lack of adequate awareness and sedentary lifestyles are the primary causes for the rising incidence of obesity, which in turn leads to serious medical problems. I am glad that VLCC, truly standing to its image of a 'people's brand' has been actively promoting the cause of eradicating the problem over the years. I am sure the learnings from this book would benefit all of us in living our lives in a healthier manner.'' The Anti-Obesity Day, a VLCC initiative, is observed to educate everyone on the scourge of Obesity and also to create awareness about its ill effects.
