Mah: Seminar on 'Contemporary Dalit Literature in India'

Mumbai, Nov 26: A three-day national seminar on ''Contemporary Dalit Literature in India'' will begin tomorrow in Kolhapur.

The seminar is organised by Sahitya Akademi in collaboration with Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Centre for Research and Development and Shivaji University, Kolhapur at its campus here, a release said.

University vice-chancellor Prof Manikrao Salunke will inaugurate the event, while Sahitya Akademi Vice-President S S Noor will preside over the inaugural session.

Eminent writers and scholars such as Laxman Gaikwad, Raosaheb Kasbe, Omprakash Valmiki, Mohandas Naimeshrai, Pushpa Bhave, Krishna Kirawale, Janardhan Waghmare, Sharankumar Limbale and others will chair the various sessions of the seminar and present papers, the release added.
