Rs 1.55 cr dividend by National Seeds Corporation
New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) The National Seeds Corporation (NSC) today paid to the government a dividend cheque for Rs 1.546 for 2007-08.
The cheque was presented to Agriculure Minister Sharad Pawar by NSC CMD Upma Chawdhry.
NSC achieved a record turnover of Rs 2,27.38 crore in 2007-08 against Rs 1,58.86 crore in the previous fiscal, registering a growth of more than 43 per cent.
The profit before tax grew by 68 per cent, from Rs 19.93 crore to Rs 33.43 crore, while the profit after tax rose by 74 per cent, from Rs 13.05 crore to Rs 22.73 crore, an official release said.
