NCW seeks CBI inquiry in Meerut Double Murder Case

New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) A PIL was filed in the Supreme Court today seeking a CBI inquiry into the Meerut double murder case in which parents of former Ms Meerut Priyanka Singh were killed.

The petitioner NGO 'Shakti Vahini' also demanded action against those police officers who did not take any action on the letter written by Priyanka Singh in August apprehending threat to her life.

Priyanka, who along with her friend Anju has been arrested in the Double Murder case, has also written a letter to National Commission for Women(NCW) allleging that she was being cruelly treated by her parents and brothers.

Priyanka was allegedly subjected to rape by Anju's brother when she had gone to meet her.
