Lok Satta to conduct organisational polls from January four

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) The Lok Satta party's Independent Election Authority will conduct the party's organisational elections from January four to seven, 2009.

Talking to newspersons here, Election Authority Chairman and former IGP V Ramachandraiah said nominations for all elective positions would be received for two-days from December 24 from 1100 hrs.

Claiming that it is the first time in India that all members of a political party would select their leaders directly at all levels through secret ballot, he said the election results would be announced on January nine.

The party constitution provides 50 per cent representation to youths and at least one of the two key positions at all levels to women or weaker sections or minorities.
