JKDPN announces candidate from Jammu East for 7th phase J
Jammu, Nov 26 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Party (N) today announced its candidate from the Jammu East constituency segment for the seventh phase assembly elections, going to poll on December 24.
Party president Ghulam Hassan Mir approved the name of Zaffar Javed Ahmed Khan as the candidate from the Jammu East segment.
He had, earlier, won the Jammu Municipal Corporation elections and was representing as a Councillor from ward no 2, a press statement issued here said.
Mr Khan as a PDP Councillor disassociated himself from the party and joined the JKDPN alleging that the PDP was promoting dynasty rule and was not following the true democratic spirits.
The DPN was floated by PDP rebel Ghulam Hassan Mir, who quit the party after having rift with the senior PDP leadership.
