Group of advocates celebrate Prabhakaran's birthday

Chennai, Nov 26 (UNI) In an open defiance of law, a group of lawyers in Madras High Court today celebrated the birthday of LTTE Supremo V Prabhakaran and raised slogans in support of the leader of the banned organisation.

A group of lawyers led by Arivazhagan, Kumanaraja, Sankaran and Ramakrishnan celebrated the 56th birthday of Mr Prabhakaran, by bursting crackers in High Court premises.

They also distributed sweets to their colleagues and general public, besides raising slogans like ''Long live Prabhakaran''.

They also held placards with the portraits of the LTTE leader.

The lawyers also demanded that the Centre must take immediate steps to ensure ceasefire in Sri Lanka.
