BJP campaign focusing on Cong faults, not Delhi's development: Rahul
New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) Slamming the BJP for focusing solely on the faults of the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress government and not its plans for the development of Delhi in its campaign for the November 29 Assembly polls, AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today said rather than saying what they plan to do for the development of the state the opposition was busy finding fault with the government.
''The focus of the BJP campaign seems to be that 'You give us power but we do not know what we have to do','' Mr Gandhi said during a rally at Seemapuri in east Delhi.
Addressing a rally, where Mrs Dikshit, DPCC President J P Aggarwal, Congress MPs Jagdish Tytler, Sajjan Kumar, Sandeep Dikshit and former DPCC president Rambabu Sharma were among those present.
Mr Gandhi said,'' If you look at the BJP's manifesto the first five pages are devoted to the Congress. The other five pages do not spell out plans for Delhi's development either and they just say that the BRT corridor will be cancelled.'' The Amethi MP said he had recently campaigned for the Congress in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where he found that the BJP had not done any development and was raising the issue of terrorism in their campaign.
He said in the last ten years the Sheila Dikshit government in Delhi had been working towards their vision for the development of the city.
''What the Congress has done in the last ten years will be carried on with greater vigour in the next 5 years so it is very important that the Congress comes to power in Delhi for the process of development to continue,'' he added.
