Water level of Kerala reservoirs decrease
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 25 (UNI) Water level of Idamalayar, Idukki and Kallada reservoirs in Kerala has slightly decreased compared to last week.
As on yesterday, the water level of Idamalayar had decreased by 1.05 feet, Kallada 0.66 feet and that of Idukki by 0.42 feet.
However, compared to same period last year the water level of Idukki and Idamalayar is considerably low.
As per the latest statistics released by the Central Water Commission, the present water level of Idukki reservoir is 35.88 feet less compared to the same period last year. The decrease in Idamalayar dam is 44.72 feet and that of Kallada 4.92 feet.
The present water level of the three reservoirs is as follow: Kallada-373.03 feet, Idukki- 2,358.00 feet and Idamalayar-500.13 feet.
