Terror suspect remanded to custody

Kannur, Nov 25 (UNI) The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court, Thalasserry, today remanded Abdul Jabbar, arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) from Hyderabad for his suspected links with Kashmiri militants, to 14 days' judicial custody.

Jabbar, hailing from Tirur in Malappuram district, is believed to have escaped with injuries during an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir last month, while two of his friends were shot to death.
