Protesting factory worker commits suicide
Mysore, Nov 25 (UNI) A factory worker agitating over regularisation of his job in a electric bulb making factory today committed suicide at the venue where a group of employees had been holding protest since last few days.
The victim, Hanumantha Shetty (36) one of the 90 employees of Wipro Lighting Ltd in Hebbal had consumed pesticide last night as he found it difficult to manage after he was not paid salary since October.
Tense situation prevailed at the K R Hospital here following death of employee and employees are gathered to mourn the death of him. After the postmortem the body has been handed over to the family members.
The striking workers demanded compensation from the company.
