Officer-in-charge arrested accepting bribe

Patna, Nov 25 (UNI) Sleuths of Bihar State Vigilance Bureau today arrested an Officer-in-Charge of Parwalpur police station, Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary while he was receiving Rs 10,000 as bribe in Nalanada district.

Official sources said the sleuths of Vigilance Bureau laid the trap on the basis of complaint lodged by jailor of Biharsharif jail Jeetendra Narayan Singh. In his complaint, Singh had alleged that Mr Chaudhary was demanding illegal money for giving the report in connection with a case.

''Mr Chaudhary was caught red-handed while he was receiving Rs 10,000 from Mr Singh'', sources said adding the arrested police officer would be produced before the special vigilance court in Patna tomorrow.
