Bangalore: Five-member gang of robbers arrested
Bengaluru, Nov 25: The Sampigehalli police on Monday, Nov 24 claimed to have busted an inter-State gang of robbers, against whom eight cases of robbery and dacoity have been registered.
'A gang of five men, including some from neighbouring States of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, barged into several houses in the recent past and looted goods and jewellery worth several lakh of rupees. They used to threaten women who were alone at knife-point," said a senior police official in North East Division, who confirmed the arrest of the accused.
Based on credible information, the Sampigehalli police raided several places and arrested five people, among whom, a few were working as security guards.
