Bangalore eBay's fourth largest eCommerce Hub
Bangalore, Nov 25 (UNI) eBay India, country's leading online marketplace, announced Bangalore as the fourth largest eCommerce Hub in the country, according to the eBay India Census.
Sharat Digumarti, Head, Category Management, eBay India unveiled the Census Guide, which documents the key findings and trends in buying and selling across Indians in the Top 100 eCommerce cities and 28 states and six Union Territories.
Speaking to newspersons here today, Mr Digumarti said the top five eCommerce hubs were Mumbai, closely followed by Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka were the most wired states in the country with the maximum number of towns, where eCommerce originate, the census said.
He said craftsmen producing traditional handicrafts were now using eBay to reach out to retail buyers in major cities. Kashmiri entrepreneurs sell carpets across India and Jodhpuri craftsman sell ethnic wooden furniture.
