AIYF to take out four rallies across the country
Puducherry, Nov 25 (UNI) The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) will organise a rally throughout the country with the motto ''keep up secularism-protect the country,'' AIYF General Secretary K Murugan said today.
The rally has been divided in four units. The first would start from Goa on December 19 and reach Kerala on December 31, while the second unit would start from Maharashtra on December 20 and culminate at Baroda on January 3. The third will commence from Uttar Pradesh on January 20 and reach Orissa on February 3, while fourth would commence from Jammu and Kashmir on January 20 and culminate in Delhi on January 30, Mr Murugan told newspersons here.
A memorandum would be submitted to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh after the completion of the rally, he added.
He said 1,000 public meetings would be conducted and one lakh leaflets distributed during the rally across the country.Issues such as price rise, evils of communalism and terrorism would be highlighted during the rally.
Alleging that there was no scope for employment opportunities in Puducherry and appointements were still going on through the backdoors, Mr Murugan said the local unit of the AIYF would organise a signature campaign and submit a memorandum to the government in this regard.
