Advocates call 2-day strike for explosion in Sultanpur court

Sultanpur, Nov 24 (UNI) Advocates of this district today boycotted work till Wednesday next in wake of the recent bomb explosion in court and also left a delegation for Uttar Pradesh capital to meet Governor T V Rajeswar and Chief Minister Mayawati in the connection.

The advocates decided to carry-out the agitation for the next two days after a Bar Association meet, sources said.

The mob was demanding the removal of Superintendent of Police (SP) Durga Charan Mishra after charging him with the poor law and order that led to the blast at the civil court premises on November 19.

The delegation led by the Sultanpur Bar Association president headed for Lucknow to meet Mr Rajeswar, Ms Mayawati and also Additional Director General of Police (law and order) Brijlal for their demand, they added.
