2 MBAs among 6 held for kidnapping Class IX student
New Delhi, Nov 24 (UNI) Bringing down curtains on the November 11 sensational kidnap of a Class IX student from a South Delhi public school, police have arrested six people, including two MBA graduates.
Police said the arrested included victim Arjun's cousin Bharat, who demanded Rs 80 lakh as ransom.
''The car used in kidnapping 15-year-old Arjun, student of Gyan Bharti School - Saket, has also been recovered,'' they added.
Interrogations revealed that the recent economic downturn led to heavy losses to two of the accused -- Piyush and Rohit -- both MBAs, who joined Bharat in getting Arjun abducted, as his family had some property dispute with his family.
Rs 40,000 had been paid to the gang of three for the crime, police added.
Arjun was kidnapped by four car-borne men while on way to school along with a friend who later informed the family, on the pretext of showing them the way to his house.
