Youngsters get fair deal in Assembly polls in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Nov 23 (UNI) Younger generation has got fair deal in ensuing Assembly polls with 1066 of the total 2194 contestants on 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan ageing below 45 years.
While 395 of the contestants aged between 25 and 34 years, 671 other candidates are in the age group of 35-44, an Election Office Spokesman said.
Besides, 588 candidates are ageing between 45 and 54 years and 520 others are in the age group of 55 to 74 years.
Only 20 contestants, including a woman, aged above 75 years, he said.
Barring exceptional cases, both the ruling BJP and the principal Opposition Congress tried to put candidates below 70 years of age preferring younger new faces from GenX.
