Polling in six assembly segments in J
Srinagar, Nov 23 (UNI) Polling in six assembly constituencies in the second of seven-phase elections in Jammu and Kashmir began amid unprecedented security arrangements and a boycott call by the separatists.
Official said polling started at 0800 hrs in all the 530 polling booths set up in six constituencies--Kangan and Ganderbal in Kashmir valley and Nowshera, Darhal, Rajouri and Kalakote in the Jammu region.
Polling started on a very dull note mainly because of the cold weather.
However, the authorities believe that polling will pick up as the day progresses.
So far, there has been no report of any violent incident, they said.
