Defence Ministry to give assistance to probe Malegaon blast
Kozhikode, Nov 23 (UNI) The Defence Ministry would provide all possible assistance to the Maharashtra government for conducting probe into the September 29 Malegaon bomb blast, in which a senior army officer was allegedly involved, Defence Minister A K Antony today said.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the army was prepared to give every help to the government agencies probing the alleged involvement of Lt Col Prasad Shrikant Purohit in the blast.
Asked whether the army would conduct a separate court martial for the trial of the Lt Colonel, he said ''the army has its on procedures''on such matters.
However, he said a decision on it would be taken at an appropriate time.
