Antony to lay foundation stone for BEL Centre
Kochi, Nov 23 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony will lay the foundation stone for the 'Product Support Centre' of the Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) at KINFRA hi-tech industrial park, near here, on November 26.
The Centre would meet the product support activities of the Indian Navy, National Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and BEL's outsourcing partner, KELTRON, an official release here today said.
The installation, commissioning and product support for the supply of radar, communications, electronic warfare, fire control and combat managment systems for the indigenously-built 'aircraft carrier' at the CSL, would be made at the new Centre, the release said.
The function would be presided by Kerala Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem.
