WB: Unidentified gunmen fired on forest officials
Siliguri, Nov 22: A person was killed in an exchange of fire between unidentified miscreants and forest officials at Bagdogra under Siliguri sub-division on Friday, Nov 21 midnight.
SP Darjeeling Rahul Srivastav on Saturday, Nov 22 said some unidentified gunmen fired on forest officials. When the officials retaliated, a person was killed on the spot.
The body could not be identified so far, the SP said, adding the reason behind the firing was yet to be ascertained.
