Six soldiers killed, 10 injured in J

Srinagar, Nov 22 (UNI) At least six soldiers were killed and 10 others wounded, some of them critically, when the vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Leh today, official sources said.

They said the soldiers, travelling in the vehicle, were going on leave. The vehicle fell into a deep gorge near Sakti in Leh.

Six soldiers were killed on the spot and 10 others were wounded, they said, adding, rescue teams rushed from nearby areas and took the injured to hospital.

The condition of some of the injured is stated to be critical.
