Seventymm switches to retail module to lure more movie buffs

Chennai, Nov 21 (UNI) Seventymm, India's largest movie rental service, has come up with a new facility- the retail module to enable more film buffs to access its treasure house of films and make movie watching a pleasant experience.

The company has introduced the scratch card system which would be available in almost all retail outlets in the city and its suburbs.

A movie buff can just step into any of the retail outlets, pick up a seventymm scratch card to become a member of the online movie rental company and watch an unlimited number of movies, just by the proverbial click of the mouse or sms, Mr Suresh Narayanan, General Manager, Chennai Region said.

''Seventymm, will deliver the movie you want to watch at your doorstep, choosing from more than 18,000 titles from Hollywood, Bollywood and seven regional language films at minimal cost'', he said, giving details of the registration.

After registering as member, movie enthusiasts could 'bring home their favourite stars' from the largest collection of movies in as many as 14 languages, all on original DVDs/VCDs in the comfort of one's drawing room, he said.

Mr Narayanan said movie buffs can visit the site ''seventymm.com'' and click or send sms CH70 to 5757570 to get a movie of their choice and spend their evenings with favourite stars like Rajni, Kamal, Shahruukh, Trisha or Ramba.

''You could watch the movie without the hassel of picking-up and returning hard DVDs, as it were'', he said, adding, seventymm has an efficient and reliable logistics infrastructure to deliver and pick-up movies from the consumers' doorstep absolutely free.

''The moment you place your order, our delivery boys will get the DVDs/VCDs to your door step. They would also pick up the movies at your convenience without any late fee'', he said.

Seventymm offers more than 18,000 titles covering Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Oriya, Punjabi and Rajasthani movies, World Cinema, TV shows as well as award-winning documentaries, Mr Narayanan said.

Seventymm website www.seventymm.com also offers informative content and easy to use site navigation along with a variety of search and browse features.

There were already 20,000 members in the city. Popular actors Trisha and Shyam were among those who have registered with seventymm. While Trisha became the 15,000th member, Shyam became the 20,000th member, Mr Suresh Narayanan said. With the launch of retail module, the company is expected to sign up 50,000 members next quarter, he added.
