Sanghani calls upon farmers to use scientific methods

Rajkot, Nov 22 (UNI) Gujarat Cooperation and Agriculture Minister Dilip Sanghani has called upon the farmers to use scientific methods to brace themselves for international competition.

Mr Sanghani was speaking at the valedictory function of the three-day Agriculture Fair, jointly organised by the state Agriculture Department, Junagadh Agriculture University, Khetivadi Utpan Bajar Samiti and the Union government, at the Race Course Ground here yesterday.

The minister said the state government is providing experts guidance to the farmers through seminars at village level, to cut the production cost by adopting scientific method.

He urged farmers to grow value and quality-based commodities to compete in the global market.
