Mah: NFAI organises exhibition of social issues
Panaji, Nov 22: About 200 exhibits, focussing on nation building and social issues, as portrayed in the Indian Cinema, were displayed at the Kala Academy here on Saturday, Nov 22. The exhibition, organised by the National Film Archive of India (NFAI), as part of the International Film Festival of India 2008, was inaugurated today by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Anand Sharma, in the presence of Chief Minister Digambar Kamat.
The exhibition depicts burning issues like eradication of untouchability and caste consciousness, class conflicts, emancipation of women, child abuse, communal intolerance and terrorism, through cinematic lenses.
