Groundnut, oil, nigerseed

Mumbai, Nov 22 (UNI) Prices of groundnut, its oil, nigerseed and RBD palm oil rose today, amid good demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oilseeds (per quintal), groundnut rose by Rs 25 per quintal on sustained demand by stockists.

Similarly, nigerseed and castorseed Bombay also shot up by Rs 50 and Rs 40 per quintal respectivly on better buying support by bulk consumers, traders said.

In oils (per ten kg), groundnut oil and refined palm oil also soared by Rs five and Rs 10 per ten kg respectively.

Castorcomm also increased by Rs eight per ten kg on improved demand by local dealers.

Barring undec cottonseed, all de-oiled cakes remained unchanged.

Undec cottonseed further advanced by Rs 100 per metric tonne on good demand, traders added.
