AOF launches Project Sunrise to assist orphanages

Tiruchirapalli, NOv 22 (UNI) The Bangalore-based Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF) has recently launched 'Project Sunrise' under which AOF will associate itself with identified orphanages and provide educational, health, nutritional and medical support to the children for a period of three years, according to AOF Regional Head S Viswanath.

Talking to newspersons here yesterday, he said in addition to these, water purifier and water cooler would be installed in the orphanages.

Mr Viswanath said orphanages were also identified in Chennai, Salem, Erode, Madurai and Coimbatore and the Foundation would forge partnership with them under project sunrise.

He said AOF would provide quality life to the underprivileged children of Tamil Nadu by holding a fund-raiser programme with a light music trouple 'Comagnin Raagapriya' to be performed by visually challenged persons here today.

He said AOF had identified 52 orphanages and would forge an alliance with them for a three-year period..

The Foundation had assisted in setting-up special computer centre-cum cyber cafe at New Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigargh and Trivanandapuram and efforts were on to set-up a similar centre in Tamil Nadu for the benefit of the visually challenged pesons.
