18 injured in road accident on NH-I in Haryana

Ambala, Nov 22 (UNI) Eighteen people, including 14 women, were injured, two of them seriously, in a road accident near Dukheri near here on NH-I today.

According to police sources, the accident occurred when a mini truck, carrying 14 women and two others, collided with a car in which two people were traveling from Ludhiana to Delhi to attend a marriage. The truck was on its way to Sadhaura from village Darara Mehadipur to attend a 'bhog' ceremony.

The two seriously injured, among the truck passengers, were admitted to the civil hospital here, while other injured, along with the two car passengers, Gurpreet and Amandeep, were admitted to the Cantonment hospital.

The police, after registering a case, arrested the driver of the truck.
