15 held for misappropriation of bank fund

Pune, Nov 22 (UNI) Police today arrested 15 people, including chairman of Suvarna Sahakari Bank here, for misappropriation of bank funds.

The Economic Offences Wing of the city police arrested the Bank chairman Dhyanashwar Agashe and 14 other directors for providing loans without proper legalities from the bank.

The government had dismissed the board of director and appointed a new administrator, after finding that the funds of the bank had been embezzled in 2006, police said.
