Teams for speedy disposal of poll related complaints set up in J

Srinagar, Nov 21 (UNI) In order to ensure speedy disposal of complaints against the violation of Model Code of Conduct and other election related issues, the authorities in the central Kashmir district of Badgam have constituted a team of officers.

Four Assembly constituencies of the district--Khansahib, Beerwah, Badgam and Charar-e-Sharief-- are going to polls in the fourth of seven-phase elections on December 7.

An official spokesman said today that a team of officers has been constituted with immediate effect at each Assembly constituency level in the district in order to ensure speedy disposal of election related complaints.

He said the teams include Naib Tehsildar (Headquarters) of each Assembly constituency, one police officer (To be nominated by Superintendent of Police Badgam for each Assembly constituency) and one videographer (as already engaged by the Returning Officer of the constituency).

Besides Deputy Director Employment, District Planning officer, Education Officer, Assistant Director Planning and District Horticulture Officer, Badgam shall handle serious complaints and grievances for their redressal.
