Rahul Gandhi to canvass in Seemapuri on Nov 26

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) As campaigning for Delhi Assembly elections gathers steam, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will hit the election trail in Seemapuri in east Delhi on November 26, party sources said.

Mr Gandhi will campaign for party candidate from the Seemapuri assembly seat Veer Singh, they added.

The move to rope in the Amethi MP for electioneering for the November 29 polls is being seen as a move to win over the youth voter in the capital.

Earlier, doubts were being raised in party circles whether the Gandhi family scion would campaign or not for the party in the national capital.

The confirmation of Mr Gandhi's participation comes two days after the party announced that UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would address rallies in Mangolpuri and Ambedkar Nagar on November 23 and November 27, respectively.
