Indian Nuclear Society's Annual Conference from Nov 24

Mumbai, Nov 21 (UNI) About 300 nuclear scientists, including Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Dr Anil Kakodkar, would be attending the 19th Annual Conference of the Indian Nuclear Society (INS), beginning here from November 24.

According to the organisers, the theme of the three-day conference is ''Nuclear Energy-Role of Industry''.

Various awards, including Dr Homi Bhabha Lifetime Achievement Award, instituted to mark his birth centenary, being celebrated this year, will be given away during the conference, they said.

The INS, which was inaugurated by late J R D Tata in 1988, has more than 4000 life members.
